Villa Thalia is one of four new villas created in 2024 as part of the Muses Villas collection, bringing together the timeless character of traditional Turkish Mediterranean architecture with contemporary comfort and convenience. Set in the popular hillside area of Kiziltas, the villa enjoys spectacular views across Kalkan Bay towards Snake and Mouse Islands.

Designed by a Turkish architect, Villa Thalia is full of character, from its elegant stone arches and columns to its high beamed ceilings, shuttered windows, travertine flooring and beautifully crafted oak furnishings. The result is a wonderfully atmospheric home that combines rustic charm with a sophisticated, contemporary feel.

At the heart of the property is a beautiful central courtyard, creating a magical space for guests to gather, dine, relax and enjoy the hot tub. Inside, the villa offers five spacious en-suite bedrooms, a generous open-plan living area, a private cinema room, and a sauna. At the same time, large pocket windows and glass doors allow the interiors to flow into the outdoor spaces.

Location & Overview

Villa Thalia is situated in Kiziltas, one of Kalkan’s popular elevated hillside areas. Positioned above the D400 main road and behind the historic Old Town, the area is known for its peaceful atmosphere and exceptional south-facing views across the bay towards Snake and Mouse Islands.

Kalkan’s beach, harbour and Old Town are approximately five minutes away by taxi or hire car. A pedestrian footbridge provides access towards town, although the return journey to the villa involves a steep uphill climb, making taxis a convenient option. Parking is available outside the villa.

Pool Terrace

The front of Villa Thalia features a large private infinity pool, positioned to make the most of the villa’s elevated sea views. The pool is surrounded by attractive sitting and sunbathing areas, with a garden extending below and in front of the pool to create a peaceful outdoor setting.

A spacious shaded terrace runs the full width of the villa directly from the living area, providing a wonderful space for alfresco dining and relaxed outdoor lounging. With direct access to the pool and beautiful views across the bay, it is an ideal spot for long lunches or leisurely evenings outdoors.

Sunbeds are positioned in various areas around the property and can be moved on request, allowing guests to find their perfect spot throughout the day. The terrace bar is another highlight, offering breathtaking views towards the sea and nearby islands and providing an atmospheric setting for a sunset cocktail.

Living Area

Villa Thalia’s open-plan living space combines a stylish, well-equipped kitchen with a generous dining and lounge area. Designed around open, flowing spaces, the room is filled with natural light and framed by large pocket windows that can open fully to blur the boundaries between indoors and outdoors.

Elegant stone detailing, travertine flooring, high-quality Spanish ceramics and luxurious oak furniture give the room a sophisticated yet welcoming feel. Glass doors connect the living space directly with both the central courtyard and the pool terrace, making it easy to move between the different areas of the villa throughout the day.

The villa is fully air-conditioned and offers Wi-Fi, while a separate cinema room provides an inviting space to relax with a film. A sauna and WC are also located on this level.

Bedrooms

Villa Thalia comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests across five spacious en-suite bedrooms arranged over two floors. Three bedrooms are located on the ground floor around the central courtyard, including two generous king-size double bedrooms and a twin bedroom, providing easy access to the villa’s atmospheric central hub.

The first floor is home to the villa’s impressive master bedroom, a beautifully appointed space featuring a large picture window framing spectacular sea views. A freestanding bath is positioned to make the most of the outlook, while a cushioned window seat creates a peaceful spot for enjoying the scenery. High beamed ceilings, attractive tilework and natural wood add to the room’s elegant Mediterranean character.

A second spacious king-size double bedroom is also located on the first floor. Both bedrooms open onto a beautiful stone-and-wrought-iron balcony where guests can sit and enjoy the magnificent views across Kalkan Bay.

Courtyard & Hot Tub

One of Villa Thalia’s most distinctive features is its central courtyard, which forms the heart of the property. Surrounded by the villa’s characterful architecture, this secluded space provides a wonderful setting for dining, relaxing and spending time together.
