Villa Erato is one of four new villas created in 2024 as part of the Muses Villas collection, bringing together the timeless character of traditional Turkish Mediterranean architecture with contemporary comfort and style. Set in the elevated Kiziltas area of Kalkan, the villa enjoys magnificent, uninterrupted views across Kalkan Bay towards Snake and Mouse Islands.

Designed by a Turkish architect, Villa Erato is full of character and distinctive architectural details. Elegant stone arches and columns, large windows, travertine flooring, high-quality Spanish ceramics and luxurious oak furniture combine to create an atmosphere of grandeur while retaining a warm and welcoming feel. Throughout the villa, artworks inspired by Erato add a personal and artistic touch to the interiors.

The villa comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests across five en-suite bedrooms (4 doubles and a twin room – the twin can also be converted to a double on request). This elegant property offers generous spaces for relaxing and entertaining. Large pocket windows open fully to the outdoors, allowing natural light and fresh Mediterranean breezes to flow through the property, while the fully equipped kitchen and air conditioning provide all the comforts needed for a relaxing stay.

Location & Overview

Villa Erato is situated in Kiziltas, one of Kalkan’s popular elevated hillside areas, positioned above the D400 main road and directly behind the historic Old Town. Facing south, its elevated position commands magnificent, uninterrupted views across the entire bay towards Snake and Mouse Islands.

Kalkan’s beach, Old Town and harbour are approximately five minutes away by taxi or hire car. A pedestrian footbridge provides access towards the town, although the return journey to the villa involves a steep uphill climb. Taxis are plentiful, making it easy to reach the villa without a car. Parking is available outside the property.

Pool Terrace

The villa’s large private infinity pool wraps around the property, creating an impressive centrepiece to the outdoor space. The pool includes a shallow section where guests can relax with their toes in the water while enjoying the sunshine and spectacular surroundings.

Several areas around the villa provide space for sunbathing and relaxing, with some of the bedrooms enjoying direct access to the pool from their private terraces. Please note that these bedroom terraces do not have balustrades and may therefore not be suitable for young children.

The terrace bar is another standout feature, offering a fantastic vantage point over the sea and nearby islands. It is the perfect place to settle down with a cool drink and watch the sun set over Kalkan Bay.

Living Area

Villa Erato’s interiors have been designed around open, flowing spaces that make the most of the Mediterranean setting. Large pocket windows can be opened fully, creating a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor areas while allowing natural light and fresh sea breezes to fill the villa.

The living spaces feature a sophisticated combination of travertine stone, Spanish ceramics, oak furniture and carefully considered lighting and décor. Elegant arches and columns add architectural character, while artworks dedicated to Erato appear throughout the property, giving the villa its own unique personality.

A fully equipped kitchen provides everything needed for self-catering, while the villa is fully air-conditioned for comfort throughout the warmer months.

The living area offers comfortable seating and a Smart TV.

Bedrooms

Villa Erato offers five spacious en-suite bedrooms, providing comfortable accommodation for up to 10 guests. Each bedroom complements the villa’s elegant Mediterranean aesthetic, combining contemporary comfort with natural materials and the property’s distinctive architectural character.

Several bedrooms offer direct access to outdoor terraces and the pool area, allowing guests to step outside and enjoy the villa’s beautiful surroundings from the moment they awake. The elevated position means that the sea views are a constant feature, with the Mediterranean landscape providing a stunning backdrop throughout the property.

Please note that some bedroom terraces have direct pool access and no balustrades, so these rooms may not suit families with young children.
